Celebrating Our Pure 30 Wins: Stronger, Healthier, and Ready for What’s Next!

What an incredible journey! On July 5th, we officially wrapped up our annual Pure 30 Challenge, and the energy across our whole community has been amazing.

We kicked things off with a week of prep before diving into the official program on June 7th. For 30 days, we focused on the ultimate secret weapon for women’s fitness: protein. We looked at how changing up our food choices, balancing blood sugar, and spreading protein out through the day can completely transform our energy, help us recover from workouts, and build long-term strength.

Whether you smashed your workouts on the club circuit or trained from home with our MyCurves on Demand online sisters, you should be incredibly proud of your commitment to yourself.

A Global Sisterhood Moving Together

This challenge proved just how powerful our community is when we team up. We had 2,398 members join in from the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. This inspiring mix included our in-club members, at-home virtual participants, and our dedicated Curves coaches and staff. Knowing that thousands of women were working toward the exact same healthy habits at the exact same time kept us all accountable and motivated.

Our New Pure 30 Online Portal and Mini Journal

This year brought a big upgrade to the challenge. For the first time ever, we moved away from Facebook and ran everything through our brand-new, structured Pure 30 online portal platform.

The change was a massive success, earning a 4.6-star average rating in our feedback survey. Members loved how simple, clean, and easy it was to find daily updates, use the habit trackers, and grab new ideas. It gave everyone a distraction-free space to focus on their goals.

A massive part of our success this month came down to daily consistency, which is why we loved seeing so many of you using our newly redesigned Pure 30 Mini Journals! Writing down your goals, meals, and daily wins by hand activates a much deeper level of brain engagement than typing on a screen, helping you stay deeply connected to your “why” and spot patterns in how your food and movement affect your energy. Our in-club members loved picking up their physical copies, and for our digital-only sisters on the platform, we had downloadable pages ready to print so nobody missed out on the incredible power of tracking their progress on paper.

A Quick Look Back at our Weekly Focus Points

We didn’t throw everything at you all at once. Instead, we focused on building sustainable habits that you can stick with long-term:

    • Week 1: Foundations of Fuel & Hydration: We calculated our personalized daily protein and water goals, committed to three 30-minute Curves workouts, practiced eating our foods in a specific order to balance blood sugar, and logged our progress in our journals.
    • Week 2: Spotting Sugar & Balancing Plates: We learned how to read labels to avoid hidden sugars, built balanced plates using our specific formula, and took on the less-sugar challenge with daily swaps.
    • Week 3: Vibrancy, Healthy Fats & Gut Health: We aimed to “eat the rainbow” with colourful antioxidants, incorporated healthy fats to support hormones, added fermented foods for gut health, and mastered post-workout recovery nutrition.
    • Week 4: Natural Detox, Microbiome & Reflection: We supported our body’s built-in detox systems with daily habits, boosted our gut health by eating 17+ different vegetables, used daily journal reflections to note our wins, and planned how to carry these habits into our next 30 days.

34 Delicious Recipes and Practical Habits

Learning why nutrition matters is one thing, but knowing what to make for dinner is where the real magic happens. To help everyone bridge that gap, the challenge included 34 delicious recipes cooked and shared by Kim and Shannon.

From flavourful Buddha bowls to the popular morning Berry Smoothie, these recipes showed us that fueling our bodies with whole foods can taste amazing. We practiced “protein stacking”, aiming for 25 to 35 grams of protein at breakfast and spreading the rest through the day, to beat cravings, steady our energy, and get the most out of our strength training.

“I found it was easier than I thought it would be to switch to plain Greek yogurt with berries and nuts and a drizzle every now & then of raw honey. I am more likely to make healthier choices by paying attention to the ingredients and nutritional info.
