My 2012 wedding day was the happiest day of my life, but I wasn’t happy at all when I saw my wedding videos. I used to refer to my extra weight, in a cute way, as fluff, but really, I did not find it cute as I walked down the aisle.
By January of 2014, I weighed 167 lbs., which was the heaviest I’d ever been. I knew, too, that not all of my health markers were as healthy as they should be. I needed to do something. Curves’ 30-minutes-a-day spoke volumes to me. So I made an appointment to go talk with a Curves Coach, signed up, and began my weight loss journey.
I started working out three times a week and increased my days when my weight loss stalled. At the urging of my Curves coaches, I paid closer attention to my diet and started logging what I was eating, which helped me pay even closer attention to what I put into my body. Curves is not some fad—it’s a way of life, and now it’s my way of living.
Today I weigh 130 lbs.** and wear a size six. For the first time in my life, at a check-up with the doctor, all the numbers for my blood work were exactly where they needed to be. I eat healthy, exercise daily, and I am happier, healthier, and stronger than I ever have been. Curves is the place I go to keep happy and healthy.
