With a trip to Hawaii looming, I wanted to lose 20 pounds—though my ultimate goal was 30. I saw some promotional material on Jenny Craig, so I decided to give it a try along with my Curves workouts.
I started my new weight-loss and workout strategy the week of Thanksgiving and began losing weight steadily. I worked out at Curves three, four, sometimes five days a week and really liked the way my body was transforming. My size 16 slacks, that were once so snug, became loose. I went from a size 14 to a 12 to a 10, and I now fit into clothes that I haven’t been able to wear in years. It feels so good buying new clothes and looking in the mirror at what I have accomplished. I receive compliments from people who notice my weight loss, including my mother who told me that my backside looked “a lot smaller!”
Altogether, I lost 25 lbs^^ in 6 months—beating my ultimate goal. Now my goal is to keep toning my body and maintain good health.
I am 56 with a family history of heart problems and diabetes. I plan to continue to eat healthily, work out at Curves three or four times a week, and stay in the best possible health so that when I am 80+ years old, I can still work out at Curves on a regular basis.
