I had gone through a series of life changes that really took their toll on me. My husband and I divorced, I lost my job, and I moved away from my family. Leaving my mother and grandmother was especially difficult, so I moved back, and joined Curves to regain my strength and gain weight. My gram had dementia, and I began caring for her 24/7. Working out was my outlet, and Curves was my sanity in a crazy, chaotic world.
Easter 2015, my world turned upside down. My gram passed away. I didn’t know what to do with myself. I needed even more to focus and keep myself busy, so I started coaching at Curves while working out every opportunity I had available. Setting a good example for our members helped me keep my world together.
I got back together with my ex-husband and in July 2015 I found I was pregnant, and kept going to Curves throughout my pregnancy. Eight weeks postpartum, I did a mud run. I wasn’t in my best shape, but I was determined to get fitter, and before long I fell back into my exercise groove again. I’ve maintained my passion for working at Curves and helping women meet their goals. Curves offers high-energy strength training for every fitness level. So, while I’m a full-time Mom, I’m blessed to be part of a team that is as passionate as I am.
